March 20th, 2024 Dear Parents/Guardians, We want to keep everyone safe and happy at school, so we have a new process to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and staff related to food allergies and dietary restrictions. We kindly ask that before you send any food into school to be shared in your child’s classroom, please complete the “Classroom Food Donation Form” first. An example of when this would be used is when cupcakes or treats are sent in for birthdays or holidays. The completion of this form will allow school staff to make sure that alternative options are available for students with specific dietary needs or food allergies. You can find and complete the form on the MSAD 30 website (www.msad30.org). To locate the form on either school’s website, use the following directions: click “menu” from the top right hand corner, then from the list of options click “Classroom Food Form”. Please find the direct link to the form here: https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=l2rnxX_TDEOErOsLnk2nkHzsQQRhVzFIqiPZpX_eDbdUODNVUTYyRzE4TkNGOEk2NldQWEcxV0YzQy4u **A quick friendly note: please remember that it is best if students do not share their snacks or lunches with friends at school to keep everyone safe from allergies. We really appreciate your help in making our classroom a safe and happy place for all students to learn together. Thank you for collaborating with us to support our students. As always, if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. COVID-19 continues to evolve and change. The recommendations for COVID-19 continue to evolve and change as well. To keep up with the frequent changes, MSAD #30 has decided to retire all current COVID-19 plans, guidance, and reference materials. Moving forward, MSAD #30 will follow current CDC guidelines to ensure that the guidance remains up to date and accurate with current CDC recommendations. The CDC has created an easy-to-use tool to help provide guidance to the public about various COVID-19 scenarios. If you or your student(s) have tested positive for COVID-19 or been exposed to COVID-19, please use the following tool to help determine what you should do next. To locate the tool, visit the following website - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/isolation.html Alternatively, you may google “CDC COVID 19 Calculator”. The tool will ask you questions based on dates and symptoms to give you current CDC recommendations on masking, testing and isolation. With any questions, as always do not hesitate to reach out to our school nurse, Tara Smith by calling either school if you need help with current COVID-19 guidelines.

MSAD #30 has received additional COVID tests from the federal government. These tests are free to our students and their families. For safety reasons we cannot send the tests home with kids on the bus. Adults can pick tests up from the main office of either school from 7:30AM – 2:30PM. We are seeing a few cases of COVID in our schools. We are also seeing high rates of strep throat, the common cold, and stomach bugs. Please give your student(s) a quick checkup before they head to school to make sure they are feeling well enough to participate in school.
